AI Governance Practice Centre (AIGPC)

ETHICAL AI IN ACTION

Advancing responsible and inclusive AI through policy research, capacity building, and global collaboration.

From Local Wisdom To Global Alignment

Highlights

AIGPC

The AI Governance Practice Centre (AIGPC) is a new initiative proposed for establishment in 2025 as the international expansion of the AI Governance Center (AIGC), founded in 2021 under the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA), Thailand.

The Centre aims to advance global cooperation on ethical AI governance through research, policy dialogue, and capacity building, and is currently progressing toward designation as a UNESCO Category 2 Centre (C2C).

“Why UNESCO Category 2 Centre”

AIGPC aspires to become a UNESCO Category 2 Centre to serve as a trusted regional hub that translates UNESCO’s global principles on AI ethics and digital governance into concrete, measurable impact across Asia-Pacific. By anchoring its work in UNESCO’s normative frameworks, AIGPC will strengthen capacity building, policy implementation, and cross-border collaboration among governments, academia, and industry, ensuring that AI development remains human-centered, inclusive, and rights-based. With Thailand’s strategic position and commitment to responsible digital transformation, AIGPC stands ready to amplify UNESCO’s mission—bridging global vision with regional action and delivering scalable models that advance ethical, equitable, and sustainable AI for all.
